Since the first Route du Rhum race in 2014 with V and B, in 2019 the department of Mayenne joined the project to set off for our first Vendee Globe in 2020/21. Monbana consolidates this union.

    Maxime Sorel's partnership with V and B dates back to his very first transatlantic race, the Route du Rhum 2014. Together they have made this offshore racing project grow. Maxime corresponds to the V and B state of mind and it is together that they cross a new dimension with the construction of a new foiling boat to play the leading roles in the next Vendee Globe.

    Historical specialist in powdered chocolate since 1934, Chocolaterie Monbana is now joining the sailing project skippered by Maxime Sorel, alongside its historical partners to support his ambitious business project and carry the brand's values ​​around the world: Passion, Perseverance, Team Spirit and Humility.

    Since 2019, a beautiful story between Maxime Sorel and Mayenne has been written over the adventure around common values: Sharing, Self-transcendence, Solidarity and Mutual Aid. This partnership, which is part of the attractiveness approach initiated by the Departmental Council, now takes on its full meaning and is truly part of the life of the territory.

Together against Cystic Fibrosis

From a very young age, Maxime was made aware of the fight against cystic fibrosis. Formerly an active member with his family during the Virades of Hope, he became a fervent ambassador from his first Route du Rhum. After 5 years of making this disease known, he was appointed national sponsor alongside Laurence Ferrari.
